What is Tower Center Rijeka?
Tower Center Rijeka was opened in November 2006 and is the largest shopping center in Rijeka and its surroundings. It has more than 120 stores and 11 megamarkets. The shopping gallery is spread over five floors. In addition, it is also a nice place to have fun. Inside the center there are many catering establishments, a multiplex cinema and other places for spending free time.

The trend of buying gift cards/vouchers has been on the rise for many years, and that is why the management of the center also wanted to introduce a gift card.

The owners of Tower Centra Rijeka also own other shopping centers in Croatia. With the SmartGifty solution, they thus gained joint control over usability and any desired additions as they wish, while on the other hand, SmartGifty allows them complete independence, for each center individually. One of the important conditions was simplicity in paying sellers within the center itself. The financial interface within the software tool allows many options for accounting and thus “one click away payment” for sellers for purchases made with a gift card in their store.
It took almost a year before the introduction of the gift card into the center began. The reason was the unclear allocation of which law can be applied. Namely, there is no law on gift cards, only regulations and guidelines. In this case, we played a significant role in helping the Center with advice and support, in obtaining the final opinion of the Tax Administration.
