Challenge
Arena Center Zagreb is one of the largest shopping centers in Croatia. They wanted to replace their outdated gift card solution, which operated on a banking system with high costs and limitations. The old system did not support e-gift cards, lacked real-time data, and had other inefficiencies.
Solution
We implemented a new closed-loop gift card solution. The old gift cards could be exchanged for new ones directly within the SmartGifty system, providing the client with better insights into the remaining balances on old cards. The main challenge was migrating from the old system to the new one. We successfully completed the transition in a single day—on a Saturday—without any downtime for gift card issuance or redemption.
Results
The new gift card system offers the client more flexibility, including e-gift cards, real-time data on gift card issuance and redemption, advanced analytics, a simplified clearing system, and full control over the funds.
